Woke up at 6, coffee, and was out the door before the sun was fully up. The plan was simple: out to the lake on the long road, back on the creek path. 62 km total. The out leg Wind was dead calm for the first 20 km, which doesn’t happen often. Passed the whole town before the bakery opened. The one I’ve been saving for. 112 km, the whole loop, out before sunrise and home before dark. Placeholder image — replace with a real photo. Every single hill paid off.
A short one this week, but the river bend climb is no joke. 38 km, roughly 900 m of climbing, and I saw exactly two other riders the entire way. The water was that perfect early-September temperature — cold enough to be dramatic, warm enough to actually enjoy. Placeholder image — replace with a real photo. Next ride: the big loop, if the forecast holds.
